Preschool Introduction

Located at 3651 Richmond Road, in the heart of Richmondtown, the professional and dedicated teachers and staff of the Joan P. Hodum Early Learning Center/Community Resources’ Preschool, offer students 2.9 to 5 years of age a variety of programs to help each student reach his/her potential in an inclusive and nurturing environment. The curriculum of our full day general and special preschool education classes, Universal Pre-K and Pre K3, and afterschool day care program, allows staff to work with children in creating a classroom culture where children they are encouraged to think critically and creatively.

Believing that family participation is a key to every child’s lifelong learning and development, the mission of our children’s center is to provide a safe and stimulating environment that is accepting of each child’s unique abilities.
